T-minus...

Your people are imported. Your survey is built. Your parents, students and/or employees have been notified. It's time to launch your pulse survey(s) and start collecting insights!

So, when is the best time to launch?

  • If it's near the start of the school year, we suggest waiting until 2-3 weeks after the first day of school. That's enough time to allow parents, students or employees to get a decent feel for the rhythm of the school year before providing feedback.

  • If you're launching your ParentPulse partnership more than 2-3 weeks after the start of the school year, there's really no bad time to launch. (However, if you're within a month or two of the end of the school year, you might want to choose either the 30-day or 60-day duration option so the survey invitations don't bleed into the summer.)

Perhaps you already scheduled your survey sequence to start on a specific date. If that's the case, you can just sit back and wait!

If you chose the manual start option, there's just one more button to press...

  1. Click on the Survey Builder link
  2. Select either the Parent, Employee or Student option and then click the "Edit" button underneath your saved sequence
  3. Click Start Sequence.
  4. If you're launching surveys for other modules as well (e.g. Student or Employee), select the other surveys and repeat the process when you're ready

Once you've started the survey sequence, our system's auto-pilot will get to work! Your first batch of survey invitations will be sent out the next time 11 a.m. Eastern (8 a.m. Pacific) rolls around, and will be evenly dripped out over the course of 30, 60 or 90 days (depending on the option you selected). You can always view the progress on the bottom of the Survey Builder page.

You'll receive an e-mail notification when you’re nearing the end of the cycle (and again when the cycle has ended). You can also choose mid-cycle to pause the survey, and later pick up exactly where you left off – this feature is great for situations where might want to take a quick break (e.g. Christmas vacation).
