Forwarding Comments in ParentPulse

In addition to replying to comments directly within ParentPulse, you also have the ability to forward comments to others — whether that’s a colleague, department head, or anyone else who should see specific feedback.

Forwarding is a great way to share important insights, delegate follow-up, or simply keep the right people in the loop.

Here’s how to forward a comment in ParentPulse:

1. Navigate to your Comments page.

In the upper right-hand corner, you’ll find two dropdown menus. Use these to:

  • Select the type of survey you want to view comments from: Parent, Student, Employee, or any custom survey you’ve created.

  • Select the desired timeframe or sequence.

2. Use Filters, Tags, or Search options to locate the specific comment you’d like to forward.

This is especially helpful if you’re looking for comments with certain keywords or themes.

3. You have two options for how you want to forward a respondent’s comment(s):

  • Click Forward underneath the respondent’s name or “Anonymous” to forward all comments in their survey.

    • If a single comment doesn’t tell the whole story, you can forward all of a respondent’s comments to provide full visibility for your colleague.

  • Hover over Forward underneath an individual comment until it’s purple and then click. This will allow you to forward the individual comment.

    • This is especially useful when you’re forwarding responses to our shout-out question or if you need someone to address a specific question or area of concern.

4. Enter the recipient’s information.

  • Enter the recipient’s full email address.

    • Type in your colleague’s email address, or copy and paste it into the text field.

  • Import your employee information and select the employee.

    • For an efficient short cut, click Don’t see any names populating? Upload your employee list here to import your employee contact information. Once the import is complete, you’ll be able to search for your colleague in the text field and their email address will auto populate once you select their name.

      • You can do this even if you don’t have the employee module activated!

5. Add an optional message.

This is your chance to provide context, instructions, or additional details alongside the forwarded comment.

For example: "Sharing this comment with you for visibility — might be worth a follow-up."

6. Click Send.

The recipient(s) will receive an email that includes:

  • The forwarded comment.

  • Your optional message.

  • A place to reply to the original comment.

⚠️ Want the recipient to reply to the comment but they’re not a ParentPulse admin? No worries - be sure to check the box next to Allow individual(s) to reply to the respondent and they will be able to send a reply from the email they receive!

Forwarding comments can help you respond faster, collaborate better, and make sure no feedback falls through the cracks.
