Replying to Comments in ParentPulse

A standout feature of ParentPulse, distinguishing it from other survey platforms, is the power to directly engage with respondents and address their comments. By replying with personalized messages, you can maximize the value of your surveys, showing your community that their feedback truly matters.

At ParentPulse, we recommend actively engaging with your audience by replying to comments frequently. Here’s how to do it:

1. Navigate to your Comments page.

    In the upper right-hand corner, you’ll find two dropdown menus. Use these to:

  • Select the type of survey you want to respond to comments for: Parent, Student, Employee, or any custom survey you’ve created.

  • Select the desired timeframe or sequence.

2. Use Filters, Tags, or Search options to look for specific comments, including respondents who haven’t received a reply.


3. You have two options for how you want to reply to a respondent’s comments:

  • Click Reply underneath the respondent’s name or “Anonymous” to reply to all comments in their survey.

    • Replying to all comments in a respondent’s survey is helpful when you want to thank them for all of their feedback and to address their comments more generally or overall. 


  • Hover over Reply underneath an individual comment until it’s purple and then click. This will allow you to reply to this comment specifically.

    • This is a great choice when you need to address a particular question or concern, especially if it requires more detail or additional information.


4. You also have two options for the type of reply you send:


  • Text Reply

    • This is your traditional written response, where you can write and customize your reply word for word, or you can use Saved Responses to help you out.

  • Video Reply

    • Sometimes talking is a little easier than writing, especially to get your specific message and tone across. Video replies allow you to record or upload your response to comments!
