How to Extend Survey Expirations for Respondents

Modified on Wed, 17 Dec at 3:17 PM

Curious about how long respondents have to complete their surveys or fielding questions from your community? Here’s what you need to know: Links to pulse surveys—whether for parents, students, or employees—come with an expiration date. Respondents have 14 days from the time they receive their initial survey invitation to complete and submit their feedback.

If someone misses the 14-day window, don’t worry—there’s a way to help! Respondents may contact you saying they’d like to submit feedback but can no longer access their survey. We don’t want you to miss out on collecting those valuable insights. The great news? You can easily extend a survey’s expiration.

How to Extend Survey Expirations for Respondents

Important Notes

  • The survey cycle must be active
Extensions are only possible while the current survey cycle is still active. If the cycle has already ended, it won’t be possible to adjust expirations for surveys from that period.

However, respondents who have open surveys when the cycle ends will still be able to            submit their surveys.
  • Include the survey link in your communication
After extending the expiration, be sure to include the respondent’s unique survey link in your follow-up message. You can grab this link by clicking on the yellow dot next to their survey activity. This ensures they have quick and easy access. If they encounter issues when clicking the link directly from their email, suggest copying and pasting it into their browser for a smoother experience.

  • Need help? We’re here!
If a respondent contacts ParentPulse directly, we’re always happy to assist by extending their survey expiration. And now you’re equipped to do the same for your community whenever needed!
