Comparing Data Changes in ParentPulse

Your dashboard in ParentPulse gives you powerful tools to better understand, analyze, and interpret your data. One of those tools is the ability to compare data across different sequences or custom timeframes — so you can easily track progress over time.

Why Compare Data?

Comparing data is helpful when you want to:

  • See how responses have changed since a previous survey

  • Track progress over time on specific questions

  • Identify areas of growth or decline

  • Analyze trends across custom date ranges

How to Compare Data Across Sequences

Tip: This works great when you want to compare questions you asked across two sequences.

1. Select Your Sequence

Use the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner of your Dashboard to select the sequence you want to analyze.

2. Open the Change Menu

Once your data loads, at the top of your data, click the drop-down menu underneath Show change in currently selected/filtered data vs. to select a timeframe or sequence.

3. Choose a Sequence to Compare

Select the previous sequence you’d like to compare your data to.

Example: If you’re viewing your Spring Survey results but want to compare them to your Fall Survey, you’d select the fall sequence from the Change menu.

4. Review Your Comparison

The Change column will display the difference in scores between the two sequences.

  • Green numbers = score increased

  • Red numbers = score decreased

Hover over any score change to view additional details.

How to Compare Data Across a Custom Timeframe

Want to compare results for a specific date range?

  1. Open the Change menu or the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.

  2. Select Custom Timeframe.

  3. Set your desired start and end dates.

ParentPulse will show score changes based on the timeframes you’ve selected.
