When Do Survey Respondents Receive Their Invitations?
Timing is everything when it comes to gathering meaningful feedback. If you're wondering when survey invitations are sent for your pulse surveys, you’re in the right place! This article breaks down how and when invitations are sent, so you can anticipate responses and plan accordingly.
Timing of Survey Invitations
Once you click Start Sequence in the Survey Builder (or if your survey is set to begin on a scheduled date), invitations will start going out at the next time 11 AM EST / 8 AM PST rolls around. From there, our system gradually “drips” out survey invitations throughout your chosen cycle duration—whether it’s 30, 60, or 90 days.
Invitations are sent daily at the same time throughout the entire cycle, ensuring a steady flow of responses rather than a one-time influx.
Respondent Order
Survey invitations are evenly distributed across the duration of the cycle. For example, if you have 450 respondents and a 90-day pulse cycle, the system will send out invites to 5 respondents per day.
To maintain anonymity and fairness, the system randomly assigns the order in which respondents receive their invitations. This means that in a household, one parent might receive their invitation early in the cycle, while the other could get theirs later.
Additional Notes
Once a respondent receives their survey invitation, their unique link remains active for 14 days.
Reminder notifications are automatically sent to encourage participation.
By distributing survey invitations strategically over time, this approach helps you capture consistent, ongoing feedback while avoiding response fatigue.
