Staying in the Loop: How to Turn On Notifications for Admin

Keeping up with parent feedback is essential, but that doesn’t mean you need to keep refreshing your Dashboard all day. That’s where notifications come in! ParentPulse can send you email alerts when new survey responses roll in, ensuring you stay informed—without the constant check-ins.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to enable and customize your notification settings so you receive the updates that matter most to you. Let’s dive in!

How to Enable Notifications

1. Navigate to Your Settings Page

To start receiving notifications, head to your Settings page. You’ll find Notification Settings on the left-hand side under SMS Status.

2. Choose Your Notification Preferences

Comment Notifications

Want to be notified when someone leaves a comment on their survey? Toggle on "Email me when a comment is left in the survey" and select the groups you want to track (Parents, Students, or Employees). You’ll receive an email whenever an open-ended response is submitted.

Detractor Notifications

Stay on top of potential concerns by enabling "Email me when there’s a new NPS detractor." This means you’ll get an alert anytime someone gives your school between 0-6 on the Net Promoter Score (NPS) question.

Promoter Notifications

Love hearing from your biggest fans? You can also enable "Email me when there’s a new NPS promoter" to get notified whenever someone gives a 9 or 10 on the NPS question.

Why Enable Notifications?

We recommend turning on notifications—at least for your first pulse survey cycle—to get a feel for response patterns and submission frequency. If the emails become overwhelming, you can always fine-tune or disable them later.

Here’s how different notifications can be useful:

✅ Comment Notifications help ensure you (or your designated “air traffic controller”) are actively reading and responding to feedback.

✅ Detractor & Promoter Notifications give you a real-time pulse (?) on your most critical        feedback—both positive and negative—so you can engage with respondents accordingly.

Additional Notes

⚠️ Notifications are user-specific – If you have multiple ParentPulse admins, enabling             notifications will only affect your account. Each admin will need to set up their own preferences.

By customizing your notification settings, you can stay informed, engaged, and responsive—without unnecessary noise.
